(吉隆坡30日讯)首相敦马哈迪医生获年度刊物《穆斯林500强》评选为2019年度男穆斯林风云人物。
年度刊物《穆斯林500强》(The Muslim 500)自2009年起，每年会选出500名当代最具影响力的穆斯林代表。该份刊物由约旦王家伊斯兰战略研究中心出版。

正当该份刊物迈入10周年之际，马哈迪以领导希盟赢得第14届大选及二度任相的成就，当选风云人物。

《穆斯林500强》也形容，马哈迪首次任相期间，是推动马来西亚成为东亚经济领袖的旗手。
与此同时，因2017年12月掌掴以色列士兵而被判处监禁的17岁巴勒斯坦少女塔米米因，则当选2019年度女性穆斯林风云人物。
