槟城大桥3.4公里处电缆自燃事故，没有对槟城电供造成影响，国能受询时表示，槟城电供依然稳定，用户无需担心！
由于发生自燃情况的是从武吉丁雅至峇央珍珠的主要入电变压站（Pencawang Masuk Utama）的132kV电缆，不少槟城民众，特别是相关地区民众担心是否会面对电供中断问题。

国能职员菲特礼玛兹接受记者电访时表示，国能目前给槟城用户的电力供应依然稳定。
他也表示，国能公司将通过发表文告方式，让大众知道发生在槟城大桥桥底电缆自燃事故的最新进展，目前起火的肇因尚在调查中。
他促请民众若发现国能设施出现任何问题，可致电国能关怀热线15454。
