“水来了，但在短短6小时内，水又断了！”
槟岛峇央峇鲁于周四（1月11日）清晨6时许即恢复供水，居民雀跃万分，但在不到6个小时后，于同日中午时段，该地区又再断水，让居民空欢喜一场。至于为何恢复供水后又断水，原因则不得而知。

槟岛市议员及峇央峇区国会议员沈志勤的助理陈顺安在受询时透露，他尝试向槟州供水机构了解，为何峇央峇鲁地区在恢复供水后，又再断水。但槟州供水机构仍然没有给予任何的回应。
他说，周四恢复供水的峇央峇鲁地区，包括立信花园及峇央峇鲁巴刹等地区。当日上午恢复供水的主要为排屋，大部分的组屋或公寓则仍未恢复供水。
在槟州供水机构提早完成更换双溪赖滤水厂的2个阀门后，威北、威中及威南大部分地区于周三（1月10日）晚11时开始恢复供水，而槟岛市区大部分地区于周四（11日）上午也已恢复供水。
