菲律宾最高法院25日宣布，由于弹劾程序违宪，将终止现阶段针对副总统莎拉的弹劾程序。
最高法院在一份声明中表示，高院全体法官裁定，负责审理该案的参议院无法获得对该弹劾案的管辖权，也无法启动弹劾程序。
今年2月5日，莎拉遭菲众议院弹劾。弹劾案随后被移交至参议院审理。

声明说，众议院在正式弹劾莎拉之前已经在一年内收到了3次弹劾指控。由于众议院并未对前三次指控采取行动，该三次指控被最高法院视为“终止或驳回”。
菲最高法院以此为依据，认定弹劾案违反了菲律宾宪法中“一年内不能对同一名官员发起一次以上弹劾程序”的条款。

菲最高法院表示，任何后续对莎拉的弹劾指控只能从2026年2月6日起提出。莎拉是菲律宾前总统杜特尔特的长女。
