美国正积极展开外交部署，为总统特朗普可能出席今年10月的第47届东盟峰会铺路。
美国国务卿鲁比奥说，美国正在敲定总统出席这项高层会议的具体日期。
“我们正在协调总统出席（东盟峰会）的日期，绝对有可能。”
鲁比奥今日在记者会上受询及时这么说，记者询问特朗普是否可能与本区域领袖一同出席即临的东盟峰会。

第47届东盟峰会定于10月26至28日在吉隆坡举行，并将召开一系列部长级会议及相关高层会议。
至于第13届东盟—美国峰会则预计会在10月28日登场，这也是系列领导人峰会的重点议程之一。
鲁比奥今日抵达吉隆坡，出席第58届东盟外长会议（AMM）的一系列高层会议。
