一艘载有259名乘客从浮罗交怡往返吉打港口的客船，因天气恶劣及海面掀起4米高海浪，而被迫折返。

浮罗交怡客船公司Konsortium Ferry Line Ventures总经理峇哈林周日向《大都会日报》指出，被迫折返的客船是周日（28日）中午12时30分，从浮罗交怡瓜镇码头出发前往吉打港口的客船。
他说，该艘客船在海上航行约25分钟，于中午12时55分时，在距离浮罗交怡瓜镇码头15海里处遭遇海浪汹涌，为了乘客安全起见，客船被迫折返。
此外，该客船公司也于周六（27日）被迫取消4趟从浮罗交怡往返吉打港口客船班次，有约1698名乘客受到影响。
