根据《2023年国家健康和发病率调查》（NHMS），我国出现过重与过胖的人数已经从2011年的44.5% 增至2023年的54.4%。
调查指出，在2015年，我国的过重及过胖者有47.7%、2019年则有50.1%。
至于腹部肥胖（Abdominal obesity）方面，我国有腹部肥胖者已经从2011年的45.4%、2015（ 48.6%）、 2019年（ 52.6%）以及 2023年的 54.5%。
