交通部长陆兆福宣布动用部长拨款，每年拨款20万令吉予登嘉楼州10所华小，以协助学校发展。
他说，之前在州选举期间收到登州华社投诉，抱怨州内没有华裔代表和难以获得当地议员的援助，因此他决定今年起提供这笔拨款。
“他们要求我以部长身分提供援助，而作为部长，我们有100万令吉部长拨款可供分配，以及拨款予非政府组织或非我的选区学校。

“因此我动用部长拨款协助登州华校。”

他会见登州华社代表后，向记者这么说。
陆兆福提到，这笔拨款是他的承诺，以在任期内帮助登州华社。
