警局防范罪案警员巡逻时，发现一名初生男婴，连着脐带装入塑胶袋中，丢弃路旁，所幸男婴在送院检查后，情况稳定，目前仍在医院留医观察。

雪州梳邦再也警区主任旺阿兹兰助理总监发文告指出，该名被遗弃的初生男婴是于11月18日中午1时25分，在双威镇地区的路旁被发现。

“案发时，一名隶属双威镇警局的防范罪案巡警在PJS 9/1路的一个塑胶袋包裹中发现该名初生男婴；该名男婴当时身上仍连着脐带，较后被送往邻近的诊所后，再转送到双溪毛糯医院接受进一步检查。”

他说，男婴的健康状况稳定，目前在双溪毛糯医院的新生儿加护病房（NICU）接受观察。

“案件援引刑事法典第317条文（弃婴）调查，涉嫌者一旦被控罪名成立，可被判处7年监禁或罚款，或两者兼施 。”
