新加坡媒体报道，正在洽谈脱售亚太地区业务的送餐公司foodpanda正在进行最新一轮裁员，这是foodpanda最近一年来的第三次裁员，前两次分别是去年9月和今年2月。
新加坡foodpanda发言人周五（22日）答复媒体询问时确认裁员的消息。“我们很遗憾地确认，我们目前不得不缩小亚太地区的团队规模，因为有必要让运营更精简、更敏捷。在接下来的几天到数周内，我们会集中精力帮助受影响的同事渡过这段困难时期。”
根据foodpanda新加坡首席执行员雅各布周四（21日）发给雇员的信函，被裁退的雇员将根据所在地的规定，获得裁员赔偿以及离职前的有薪假期，他们的医疗保险也得到延长。
不过，foodpanda没有透露裁员人数。foodpanda的德国母公司Delivery Hero刚在星期三（20日）证实，公司正洽谈脱售在新加坡、马来西亚、菲律宾、泰国、柬埔寨、缅甸和老挝的业务。私召车业者Grab据传是其中一个可能的买家。
