英国预算责任办公室高级经济师迈尔斯称，在人口增长放缓、居家办公流行等因素作用下，英国房价大幅上涨的时代可能即将结束。
彭博社报道，迈尔斯在伦敦发表讲话时指出，工作习惯改变、人口增长趋平以及数十年来借贷成本下降的趋势不再，使得房价暴涨的可能性下降。
他说：“我认为未来40年，推动房价走高的因素会比过去40年弱得多，房价大涨的不寻常时代可能已接近落幕。”

他强调，与其他国家相比，英国房价上涨得尤为迅速。
