吉打州第14届第4季第2次州立法议会通过修改州宪法动议，下调州议员候选人的竞选年龄，从21岁调至18岁。

吉打州务大臣拿督斯里莫哈末沙努西是于周四在吉打州议会上提出这项动议，获得在场州议员们一致通过。
据了解，吉打州是第8个通过有关修宪的州属，在这之前，沙巴、玻璃市、登嘉楼、砂拉越、吉兰丹、霹雳、以及槟城已通过修宪，下调州议员候选人的竞选年龄至18岁。
吉打州第14届第4季第2次州立法议会经过5天会议，完成26项口头提问后，由议长佐哈里武勒宣布无限期休会。
