国会上议院主席已经在7月31日接获首相的通知，决定展延原定在8月3日至5日召开的国会上议院特别会议，直到另行通知。
随着国会下议院周六宣布展延，国会上议院今日（1日）也宣布展延。

根据国会上议院秘书莫哈末苏加里向国会上议员发出的信函，国会上议院主席已经在7月31日接获首相的通知，决定展延原定在8月3日至5日召开的国会上议院特别会议，直到另行通知。
文中指，首相是依据《议会常会》第10（3）条文做出通知。
国会上议院展延的原因则与下议院相同，既依据卫生总监的建议，同时卫生部已经针对国会冠病疫情做出的最新评估，认为国会存有传染冠病的风险。
