政府尚未批准使用唾液检测新冠肺炎。
尽管多个国家已经将唾液检测，作为检测冠病的其中一个方法。但，卫生总监丹斯里诺希山表示，我国仍在评估该检测的有效性。

他说，目前已有7间政府医院，正在评估唾液检测的有效性。
“若唾液检测被评估为有效，则未来能够在机场作为入境人士检测是否感染冠病的其中一个方法。”
无论如何，诺希山表示，目前我国仍是使用聚合酶链式反应（RT-PCR）检测及抗原快筛试剂（RTK Antigen），作为检测冠病的机制。
