执法人员在靠近尤仑港口沿海一带发现疑企图走私到泰国的哥冬叶。
哥冬叶在行管令期间价格飙升，引发更多走私哥冬叶至邻国。
吉打港口海事执法机构主任诺阿兹利央迪指出, 该机构于周四早上在吉打州海域展开巡逻时，捣破一宗企图走私100公斤哥冬叶出境的走私案。
他说，该机构人员在靠近尤仑港口沿海的位置发现以数包塑胶袋包装的100公斤哥冬叶，疑企图走私到泰国。
他说，目前哥冬叶已随着行管令2.0的执行，市价飙升到每公斤180令吉，在这之前每公斤哥冬叶的市价是40令吉。

他说，今次起获的哥冬叶，若销售到泰国市场，可售卖价格是1万8000令吉。

他指出，所起获的哥冬叶已交到吉打港口海事区码头，海事局援引1952年毒药法令第30(3)条文展开调查。
一旦罪名成立，将被罚款不超过1万令吉或监禁不超过4年，或两者兼施。
