首相署澄清，首相并未表示政府将承认统考。
华总日前宣称首相丹斯里慕尤丁表示，本身也希望政府能够承认统考，结果掀起热议，随着土著团结党青年团昨日指华总会错意，首相署今日也发文告做出澄清。
文告指出，首相在7月16日与华总领袖的会面中，没有表示政府将承认统考，只是说当统考生可以报读中文科师训时，统考已被部分承认（partial recognition）。
首相署指出，政府在2012年开始接受统考生报读师训中文科，但条件是必须在大马教育文凭（SPM）中及格且国文考获优等。
文告说，首相也强调，若统考在未来要获得政府列入考量，就必须符合国家教育政策。
