交通部长兼拉曼信托基金局主席拿督斯里魏家祥博士是于昨天（27日）宣布，财政部已同意恢复从1969年至2018年拨款给拉曼的惯例，最新宣布的拨款总金额为5800万令吉。
拉曼大学学院校长李仕伟教授对于这笔能协助该院提供优质及可负担高等教育的资金表示激赏，他说，“对拉曼来说，毫无疑问的，这是个大好消息！因为这将激励我们持续推动让所有马来西亚人都有机会接受优质教育的使命。”
