2019年吉隆坡峰会未动用公帑，秘书处强调：“经费源自私人界。”
峰会秘书长丹斯里三苏丁奥斯曼在接受《当今大马》访问时，否认这场峰会的举办经费来自于政府。
“（这场峰会）是靠私人界的（资金），我们也获得捐款。”
“钱不是从政府那里来的。如果是政府出的钱，我就不会在这里了。我现在已经不在政府内了。”
询及这场峰会的开销数额时，三苏丁奥斯曼则拒绝回应，仅表示“我不会回答，因为我还不知道最终的钱额。”

三苏丁奥斯曼曾担任政府首席秘书，即首相敦马哈迪和前首相敦阿都拉巴达威掌政时期。
2019年吉隆坡峰会是于这个月18日，一连4天在吉隆坡会展中心（KLCC）举办，来自多个伊斯兰国家的领袖皆有出席。
不过，这场大会也遭到沙地阿拉伯抨击，沙地指这场大会乃分裂伊斯兰合作组织，且要求伊斯兰国家不要出席大会。
