MIRI, July 30 (Bernama) — A fire has occured at one of the transformers in the Petronas Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) complex in Bintulu at 9.40 am today.
Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd Public Affairs Department, in a statement, here today said the fire was put off by its own fire and rescue services team at 10 am and works resumed after 10.15 am.

“There were no injuries as a result of the incident,” said the statement.
It further said that the LNG production was not affected and the cause of the incident was now being investigated.
The pictures of the fire went viral in the Facebook and social media with some netizens residing in Bintulu expressing concern for their safety.
