孙毓敏因家中发生火灾，吸入有毒气体抢救4天后病逝。
中国京剧表演艺术家孙毓敏是“四大名旦”荀慧生的亲传弟子，过去她的代表作有《红娘》、《荀灌娘》、《杜十娘》等，早年孙毓敏因被卷入文革，一度愤而轻生，导致瘫痪5年。28日深夜传出她因家中火灾昏迷4天，抢救无效于北京协和医院病逝，享寿83岁。
孙毓敏师承京剧大师荀慧生，与刘长瑜、宋长荣被称为当今荀派“三大贤”，但后来因文化大革命，孙毓敏和一名华侨商人走得近，因此被中箭批判，连其师父荀慧生也卷入风暴，孙毓敏一度选择用轻生抗议，紧急送医后幸好无生命危险，但却使她腿部受伤，瘫痪了5年。孙毓敏积极复健，1978年再度登台，让不少人都相当感动，也使所属的京剧荀派更加团结，她其后也传承所学，培育了弟子禾香、常秋月、许翠等人。
