泰国首相巴育周五表示，已发出解散国会的行政令。
他在清迈向媒体指出，解散国会的行政令经提交给泰王批准。

他说：“我们必须等待《王家公报》上的公告。”
当地媒体报道，一旦泰王批准，行政令可能于3月20日在《王家公报》上公布，国会下议院即解散。国会下议院4年任期将在3月23日结束。
根据法律，全国投票必须在国会解散后60天内举行。选举委员会已初步确定投票日为5月7日，但最终日期将在国会正式解散后确认。
