薛尼离世终年94岁。
巴拿马裔美国男星薛尼波达（Sidney Poitier）前日（6日）于洛杉矶寓所离世，终年94岁。薛尼是打破美国种族隔膜的先锋，他于1958年凭《逃狱惊魂》（The Defiant Ones）成为首个获奥斯卡男主角提名的黑人。5年后，他更凭《原野游龙》（Lilies of the Field）夺得奥斯卡影帝，是首个黑人获此殊荣。他于2001年获颁奥斯卡终身成就奖。
以薛尼为榜样的奥斯卡影帝丹素华盛顿（Denzel Washington）悼念表示：“能够称薛尼为我的朋友是一种荣幸。他是个温柔的人，为我们所有人打开多道关起很多年的门。愿主祝福他与其家人。”
