槟州周五（24日）新增263宗新冠肺炎确诊病例，其中115宗是曾与确诊患者有密切接触病例。
在新增冠病确诊患者中，本地人占了244人，外籍人士占了19人。
根据槟州卫生局发布的脸书数据，新增确诊病例源来自过山巷工业2感染群（Kluster Industri Lorong Sungai Tiram 2）（13宗）、桂花南道3感染群（1宗）、贸易区1（3）感染群（1宗）、呈症状检测（102宗）、曾与确诊者密切接触（115宗）、自行检测（12宗）、旅客筛检（9宗）及其他检测（10宗）。
槟州累计确诊病例达15万9644宗，治愈人数达15万6116人，总死亡人数为1736人，州内14天确诊病例共3500宗，而活跃病例则有1792宗。

数据显示，截至12月24日中午12时，新增的病例来自东北县73宗、西南县46宗、威北县65宗、威中县38宗、威南县32宗，以及境外输入（9宗）。

槟州的疫情“红区”分布在东北县乔治市、日落洞、牛汝莪、亚依淡、丹绒道光、丹绒武雅、巫金13；西南县巫金12。
至于威省的“红区”则是：威北县巫金3、巫金4、巫金6、巫金7、巫金11、巫金12、巫金14、巫金15及巫金16；威中县巫金1、巫金6、巫金11、巫金13、巫金14及巫金21；威南县巫金11、巫金13、巫金14、巫金15。
