槟城号渡轮正在维修。
破洞机房浸进水的“槟城号“老渡轮的维修工作开始进行，以便将做为水上博物館。
槟城港务局主席拿督陈德钦在其脸书上载帖文，更新槟城号渡轮的最新状况。
一艘停泊于峇眼达南河，陈旧且没在运行的“槟城号”老渡轮，在周六（5日）因船身出现破洞，导致河水流入渡轮机房而浸水。
陈德钦早前文告中说，港务局在在周日上午召开紧急会议之后，决定趁周日下午4时至7时退潮的时候，由槟城港口公司和承包商联合进行大规模抽水和维修破洞。

槟城号”渡轮早在2019年11月27日由于过度陈旧，而且买不到引擎零部件进行维修，当局已经决定让它“下岗”，不再行驶载客。
在今年1月1日槟城渡轮改为快艇的时候，港务局也已经把“槟城号”渡轮列入日后打造水上博物馆的名单。
