此起意外是于周二上午约10时，在霹州美露拉也的甘榜珠宝达南发生。
根据霹州消拯局消息，美露拉也消拯局是于上午10时47分接获投报，并前往现场展开搜救工作。
消拯人员也出动小艇延河寻找该名男童，直至中午12时搜救工作仍在进行中。
