吉打州卫生局主任莫哈末费克里受询时澄清，该酒店是用来作为隔离中心。

他说，该酒店是作为隔离从国外回来马来西亚人士，目前也是吉州唯一作为此用途的酒店。
这段长11秒的视频中，画面显示有穿着防护服的人员出现在酒店范围，引起各方揣测。这视频也在手机应用程序群组广传，有者还叮嘱千万不要靠近这一带等等，引起人心惶惶。
该酒店是于8月5日开始，充作国外返马的公民隔离中心。
