Indonesian Waitress Found Dead

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 9 (Bernama) -- An Indonesian waitress was found dead in an apartment on the second floor of a four-storey shop house at Jalan Pinggiran 1/4, Pinggiran Putra, Seri Kembangan, late Monday night.

Selangor deputy CID chief Assistant Commissioner Omar Mamah said the 30-year-old woman who is known only as Juliana sustained injuries on the right side of her head believed to be inflicted by a blunt object.

Her body was found in the living room by one of her housemates who returned home from work, Omar told reporters here today.

He said based on initial investigation police had ruled out robbery as a motive as only her handphone was missing.

Omar said police were looking for a male Bangladeshi who was one of her housemates.

Juliana's body was taken to the Serdang Hospital for post mortem and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
