炎热干燥的天气，导致吉北日得拉甘榜旺柏拉森林区6公顷面积被大火烧毁，消拯员攀上200公尺高山区，耗时22小时，才顺利把火势扑灭。

这场林火是于周五晚9时开始燃起，由于天气干燥，熊熊烈火在风势助长之下一发不可收拾，迅速的蔓延。

吉州消拯局行动组副主任莫哈末依山说，日得拉消拯局接到投报后，基于安全问题，于周六早上11时，才派出消拯员耗时将近一小时才攀上200公尺的高山区，展开灭火工作。

他说，消拯员必须背著灭火配备，全副武装的上山，所以过程也比较费时，无论如何，这场林火于周六晚7时39分全面灭火。

消拯局事后也通过无人机，在上空进行航拍，以监督整座山的情况，避免火势再次燃起。
