威北区一木屋周日下午遭受暴风雨袭击，屋顶被卷走，所幸一家7口都只是受到虚惊。威北社会福利局（JKM）闻讯赶来巡视情况，并赠送300令吉及救济品予这家人。
上述暴风雨发生于周日下午4时半，呼啸而来的大风雨将上述坐落于威北柏玛当新笃的木屋的屋顶卷走。
威北社会福利局闻讯后赶来施赠300令吉及救济品予这一家人度过难关。
屋主是一名46岁的巫裔男性，是一家塑料厂的员工，平时仅靠1500令吉微薄收入养活自己的家人，较后他前往威北警局报案。
另一方面，目前这一家人已经寄住在屋主姐姐家中，得到了暂时的安顿。
