意大利“水都”威尼斯周日发生惊险意外，一艘大型邮轮因引擎故障，失控撞向观光船及码头，造成至少5人受伤。这令外界再度要求禁止邮轮驶入当地。

事发于当地时间早上8时30分，根据目击者拍摄的片段，可载近2700名乘客的邮轮歌剧号，失控撞向朱代卡运河的圣巴西利奥码头，以及停泊上址的一艘观光船。码头上的民众纷纷走避，场面混乱。伤者都是观光船乘客，他们伤势轻微；观光船则损毁严重。
邮轮公司表示，歌剧号准备停泊在客运大楼时机件故障，两艘协助引导邮轮入港的拖船，尝试阻止它撞向码头，但因缆索断裂而失败告终。歌剧号2004年建造，2011年航行途中动力系统故障。它上月26日离开威尼斯展开航程，至周日返回威尼斯。
威尼斯民众近年多次要求禁止邮轮驶入，一来减少到访当地的游客人数，二来邮轮航行时产生的海浪，侵蚀威尼斯的地基。这导致当地频频发生严重水灾，令多个景点淹水。
