据台湾中国时报报道。金燕玲曾以《独立时代》、《一念无明》2度获得金马奖最佳女配角奖，演技精湛的她还被受封为“配角天后”，64岁的金燕玲在年初发现罹患子宫颈癌，已接受5次化疗的她，坦言出现副作用，眼睫毛剩下8根。
金燕玲在年初发现罹患子宫颈癌，尽管她态度乐观，但金燕玲日前也曾感叹，化疗的疼痛从骨头渗出，让她真正体会到什么叫生不如死，而目前接受5次化疗的金燕玲，近日上电台坦言已出现副作用，眼睫毛只剩8根、全身骨头痛。
不过金燕玲胖了7.7公斤，目前有58.9公斤，尽管容貌和身形的变化多少影响心情，不过金燕玲仍正能量抗癌，笑说有不开心就找朋友打麻将，金燕玲也坚持打扮自己，她表示：“打扮不是为了别人，是为了自己，看到自己漂亮，心情也会好”。
